Newcomers are always welcome.  We'll either play as one team or split into several teams for the night depending on how many people RSVP.  This season of trivia is split - there will be half now, a break for the summer, and half in the fall. Parking:  There's an evening flat rate of $5 at the Edmonton City Centre West (connecting to the mall).  Entrances are on 102 Street (south of 103 Avenue) or 103 Street (east side, between 102 Avenue and 103 Avenue). **On event nights, you can still get a $5 rate there (instead of the $20 special event rate) but you MUST tell the attendant when you enter that you're going to Pubstumpers at Fionn MacCools and you will get a white parking stub.  Keep this for when you leave at the end of the night.**   Many TheatreGoers have enjoyed this fun pub quiz.  If you enjoy playing Trivial Pursuit, you'll enjoy this event.  The quiz has 8 rounds worth a total of 80 points with questions on a wide variety of subjects read by a Quiz Master.  There is typically something for everyone.  The first round starts with 10 general knowledge questions worth 1 point each, a music round with 10 snippets of songs requiring the name of the song and artist for 1 point each followed by 10 multiple choice questions. These three rounds are repeated twice.  The last round is more difficult with 5 general knowledge questions worth 2 points and a bonus question worth an extra 5 points for the closest answer. At the start of the quiz participants pick up an image sheet consisting of 10 images, including maps (geography), products, films, celebrities, album covers, flags, brands, etc that your team can work on until the end of the quiz. It's not an easy quiz, but it is lots of fun and the pub offers prizes to the three teams with the most points at the end of the night. There is lots of time at the start and between rounds to chat, drink and order food. The quiz is free to play (you're not required to purchase food or drinks) so the evening can be as inexpensive as you choose to make it.
