Often called the “Gateway to Chult”, the exotic city of Port Nyanzaru is built upon a landscape both mystifying and marvelous. However, the city’s vibrant beauty is overshadowed by a mysterious scourge that plagues all within the land. Can the divergent forces within the city discover the truth before all are overcome by this growing threat? ---  IMPORTANT NOTES:    D&D Adventurers League rules permit a minimum of 3 and a maximum of 7 players per table. If you do not sign up on the event page and the table fills up, it will be the DM's discretion if you are permitted to play as a walk-in - however do put yourself on the waitlist as plans could change and a spot could open up prior to the event date. RSVPs open up two weeks prior to the event and is on a first-come, first-served basis.    While most of the games in our Orlando RPG Meetup group is at Campus Cards and Games near UCF this one is not so please make note of that if you RSVP. This particular event is hosted at Cool Stuff Inc. on OBT right off 429 in South Orlando. In order to participate in D&D Adventurers League games, you will need the following:     - D&D Adventurers League Player’s Pack (free to download); The Adventurer’s League Player’s Pack is various PDF documents in one free download. It contains the current official Player’s Guide, character sheet, Adventure Logsheet, and some reference guides.    You can use an official D&D Adventurers League character sheet in the Player's Pack or any other D&D character sheet that suits you. You’ll use an Adventure Logsheet to record each session of AL play; keeping track of your experience, treasure, and other notes. DMs might ask to see them to make sure that your character is legal for Adventurer’s League play (MPMB's Fully-Automated Printer Friendly Character Generator, MPMB's Fully-Automated Colorful Character Generator, and ForgedAnvil 5E Character Generator are all very good character sheets that also include Adventure Logsheets and are all free to download but are worthy enough for a voluntary donation).     - The Basic Rules or the Player's Handbook; The Basic Rules is a PDF or web-based document and is available for free on the Wizards of the Coast website. It contains all of the basic rules of the game and you can create a character with it.    It is highly suggested to purchase the Player’s Handbook as it contains more options then what the Basic Rules provide and can be purchased through your Friendly Local Gaming Store (FLGS) or through various online retailers.    - A DCI Number; This is an official Wizards of the Coast organized play number and it is free to sign up for one. It’s obtainable using the instructions in the Adventurers League Player’s Guide (located in the Player’s Pack download above) or at public events - just ask the organizer for one the first time you play. Magic: the Gathering players your DCI number for Magic is the same for Adventurers League. Simple steps to create a legal 1st-level character:     - Pick an additional sourcebook (OPTIONAL); All characters have access to player options in the Player’s Handbook and Basic Rules, but you can also select an additional resource to expand your character. Current additional resources that are available currently are Elemental Evil Player's Companion (free to download), Sword Coast Adventurer's Guide, and Volo's Guide to Monsters (Sword Coast and Volo’s can be purchased through your Friendly Local Gaming Store (FLGS) or through various online retailers).    The various options presented in Unearthed Arcana is NOT allowed in Adventurers League play.    - Choose a race.    - Choose a class.    - Determine ability scores; Use either the standard set (15, 14, 13, 12, 10, 8) or customize your scores as listed in the variant rule on page 13 of the Player’s Handbook (27 points).    You cannot roll for your ability scores.    - Describe your character; Pick your character’s name, alignment, ideals, bonds, flaws, background, and faction. You cannot choose to play a Neutral Evil or Chaotic Evil character and you can only play a Lawful Evil character if you choose the Lords’ Alliance or Zhentarim faction for your character (see below).    - Choose equipment; Determine your starting equipment which is set by your character class and background.    You cannot roll for starting wealth.    - Choose one of five player factions (OPTIONAL); There are five factions available for play in the D&D Adventurers League and you can choose any faction for your character unless you chose a race from Volo’s Guide to Monsters which have limited choices (detailed here).    The Harpers - A scattered network of spellcasters and spies who advocate equality and covertly oppose the abuse of power.    The Order of the Gauntlet - Composed of faithful and vigilant seekers of justice who protect others from the depredations of evildoers.    The Emerald Enclave - A widespread group of wilderness survivalists who preserve the natural order while rooting out unnatural threats.    The Lords’ Alliance - A loose alliance of established political powers concerned with mutual security and prosperity.    The Zhentarim - An unscrupulous shadow network that seeks to expand its influence and power throughout Faerûn.
