The relatively recent development of Management 3.0 (Jurgen Appelo) has generated much interest in the concept of self-managing teams as a better way forward for achieving innovative results in IT.
The role of positive psychology has been largely overlooked but evidence suggests, that more strengths-based approach in the workplace can provide enhanced opportunities to develop successful, virtually self-managing teams.
In her talk, Anna Lewis (BA (Hons), MSc (BPsychol), Chartered FCIPD) will be reviewing the ingredients of the culture which supports the development of self-managing teams and how strengths can be instrumental in this process. This talk examines the quest for self-managing teams, looks at the challenges and opportunities that they provide and practical tools which can be used to build the culture of self-managing teams in IT organizations.
See you, colleagues! ;)
